So there's been a new addition to my family. David and I invested in a new puppy and she's the sweetest thing EVER! Little Lucia Fast, she loves to play and run and pee and poop. All the puppy stuff. We took her to the vet yesterday and she has a parasite, but after a week of antibiotics she will be as good as new. She was born on July 30 so she's about 13 weeks old. I'm completely in love with her but her sister Carmen is taking a little time to get adjusted to having someone to share the spotlight with. I can't wait to see her grow up. David is such a good daddy, he takes the baby out to go to the bathroom at all hours of the night. Lucia loves her new home and we love her and Carmen equally.

On another note....Today is my "bosses" birthday. HAHA funny because she's my bestfriend!! Ahhh I'm so excited to celebrate tonight. Last night we grabbed some yummy sushi and hung out just us girls. Tonight everyone is coming to celebrate her 21st birthday(heheh). We're starting out night at Novecento and then ending at Glass at the Forge. Anyway should be a good time!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween was great. It was like a never ending party. Friday, Sat and Sun I went out and showed off my costumes. I skipped out on actual Halloween because I needed some rest from the weekend festivities. Anyway on Sat night I sported a sailor costume and Sunday night I wore a corsette to the 'bathrobes and babydolls' party at the Raliegh. SO FUN!!!
I'm sad to say that its back to the grind....school and work. Midterms are already coming up again, so I've had my nose in a book for the past couple of days. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. Soon it's going to be Thanksgiving then Christmas then the year is over. Atleast I can say I've had a great year so far and I'm sure that the next few months left will be amazing as well. I should focus on the great things that I have coming up....TARA's BIRTHDAY yay! And her sister Shanna is making a visit, who is almost as great as Tara so I have that to look forward to. Then I'm journeying to the Keys for Thanksgiving to hang out with the family for a couple days....should be a nice getaway! It's always good to have things to look forward too, especially when you've been focusing on school. O well back to work. I'll let you know how the birthday celebration goes!

Is everyone ready for halloween??? Better be, because it's coming up! I went and got a costume last night at the Hustler store on Collins Ave. It was probably the funniest experience of my life. I went with my friend from OSU and she was prancing around the store modeling different costumes for all the staff and shoppers. ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! I refused to allow her to buy one of the outfits since her mother would have killed me. Of coarse the costume I decided on isn't the classiest around, but hey it's only one day a year right?!?
So she's going as an all white angel, and I use the term angel very loosely. And I'm going to be a sailor with adorable little boyshorts and a scarf and hat; although I think I'm scratching the hat since it doesnt fit right. Anyway.....now we have to figure out which parties to go to, there are just so many options. HAHA just kidding. I think prob we're going to the Raleigh Hotel on Sat and then Mansion on actual Halloween. Better be fun since I made the effort to get a cute costume and everything. I'll give you details after this weekend.

Well it's official everyone, I'm OFF academic probabtion. YAY! congrats to me..hahah so it turns out studying and not going out every night contributes to getting decent grades. Not sure that I can keep up this new lifestyle. The new mini-semester started on Monday and I'm totally wanting to run out and grab a drink with friends at Lucky Strike. Oh well I'm in dire need of some discipline in my life; discipline in going out, spending money, eating, and going to the gym. SO I think that now that I'm off academic probation it's going to mark a new start for me. HAHAHAHA yea right. it sounded pretty good for like a SECOND.

Anyway, I wanted to share the exciting news with everyone....now i'm off to grab dinner and drinks with friend hehehe.

So I just retured from the infamous Las Vegas this morning. Oh my stars what an interesting city! I was visiting for my brothers 21st birthday....we celebrated, and celebrated, and celebrated. So much celebrating that I will not be celebrating my birthday next year. We did all the Vegas stuff; we went to see a Cirque du Soliel Show, BlueMan Group, we ate at crazy restaurants, we shopped til our feet hurt, and somethings we did can not be mentioned here and now. Anyway my overall take on Vegas is that it's a crazy town, and I had one of the best vacations EVER!
Being back in Miami makes me really appreciate how great this city really is. I missed my friends, my dog, and of coarse my boyfriend!!!!! It's nice to be home and I think...no, I know I'm going to the beach this weekend.
PS. Alsooooo this week is Miami fashion week and I'll be attending some fun fashion shows. I'll keep everyone posted ;)

So offically fall is here. Labor day has passed, and the weather is getting wierd here in Miami. Random rainy days, which I havn't really dealt with since I lived in Columbus. SICK. But along with the changing weather comes changing fashions. Let's speak briefly about this topic. First I must say that I'm obsessed with fashion, I eat, sleep, even dream about clothing/outfits/dresses ...even when you think I'm not thinking about clothes, you're wrong! I for sure am.
Summer was great for fashion, leggings and skinny jeans became popular. These items are obviously not for everyone, so please avoid them if you don't have the appropriate body type. But I've seen some of the upcoming fall fashions and I must say that since summer was made for the perfect body type, that fall is more for everyone. Loose fitting, dark, and heavy fabrics work with any body type. I feel that BCBG has some great fall items that I 100% plan on purchasing....in fact that will be the store of choice for my entire fall wardrobe. Even though there really isn't a fall here in Miami the fashions keep up with the seasons in the rest of the US.
With fall comes school, which started a couple weeks ago for me. This is completely terrible, and sad. Less than a year of school left then my real life is suppose to start. UGHH. If anyone has suggestions of what I should do career-wise that would be spectacular! Looking at my above comments I should probably be involved in fashion in some way shape or form....too bad there is no money in that and I would prob have to move to NYC(wayyyy too cold!).

So you know the nights that you promise yourself you're only going to stay out for a couple drinks and swear that you're going to head home early. There's always someone who tries to get you to stay out and convince you to meet them at the next bar/club. Well I'm always the sucker who agrees to stay out and winds up getting a little tipsy and stays out until 3 or 4 or 5am. It's always the nights that I decide to head home early, or even stay in that exciting things happen. I hate missing out on the party!
This is what happend to me Monday night. I joined some friends at the outside patio at Segafredo, there was a cool glass of Chardonnay waiting for me when I got there. I drank up the wine and we all decided to walk a couple blocks to Funkshun. There the fashion shows were playing on the big screen, the techno music was blasting and everyone was dancing and drinking and having a great time. I wasn't about to let everyone have fun without me! David ordered me some champagne and the dancing commenced. AND it didn't end until we had drank several glasses of champagne, changed locations to Tantra and it was 3am. I ended up dancing so much that my feet hurt.
The result of my not wanting to miss out on the party was me missing out on class the next morning. OOOOPS. It was only the second day of class, and I was already skipping. Not a habit that I plan on starting, but it was only the first day and I promised myself to go to all the rest of my classes. I must admit that it was worth it, I had a great night and that 2 hours of class I skipped won't hurt me in the long run!
